Replace-By-Fee and Child Pays For Parent

FAQs related to RBF and CPFP:

TLDR:
Opt-in Replace-by-Fee (RBF) allows transactions to be flagged as replaceable until they are confirmed in a block.

Child pays for parent is a way of adding fees to a transaction by making an another transaction that depends on the first.

RBF allows the spender to increase fees; CPFP is useful because it allows the recipient to increase fees.

Demo:

So I did another transaction to pay higher fees so that earlier transaction gets confirmed as it depends on the child transaction.

How to use RBF in samourai wallet to flag them as replaceable and add more fees later to get it confirmed?

Enable RBF in settings - transactions

CPFP: spend the utxo which receives BTC and is unconfirmed for a long time to send BTC to another address in your wallet, make sure you add fees high enough for it to be prioritized by miners and hence the parent tx will also get confirmed in the process as child tx is dependent on parent tx.
